industrial laser distance meters for non-contact distance measurements with optical technology

Industrial LASER distance meters

Industrial laser distance meters are useful and accurate tools for measuring theremote and non-contact moving in industrial environments. These devices use a beam of laser light to measure the distance between two points accurately and reliably, with an accuracy of up to tenths of a millimetre.

One of the most important features of industrial laser distance meters is theirs ability to work in long range and in difficult environmental conditions. Thanks to their precision, these instruments can be used in a wide range of applications, including those that require extremely accurate measurement, such as civil engineering, quality control and industrial manufacturing.

Linear transducers

Il linear displacement transducer it is a device used to measure small displacements, usually less than one metre, and very often with very high precision and resolution.

The linear transducers have high precision and repeatability even in harsh working conditions and in the presence of contaminants.

Linear position transducers are robust and reliable, created specifically for the industrial sector, they ensure a long operational life. They offer measuring ranges from 0,2mm to 10mm in high accuracy versions and up to 300-1000mm in standard accuracy versions.

Economical, miniaturized, pressurized, spring-loaded, with or without built-in electronics versions are available. All linear transducers can be connected to amplifiers with analogue, RS232, USB or fieldbus outputs.

digital comparators

Comparators

The comparator is a measuring instrument used for measurements of linear displacement, oscillations, straightness, form errors, positions and in some cases vibrations.

The comparator uses a linear transducer, integrated in the measuring instrument, and a display to indicate the displacement of the rod. The end of the rod, called the probe, is in contact with the surface of the object being measured.

The type of probe can be chosen based on the use and shape of the contact point. Point, ball, plate, chisel or rolling bearing probes are available.

The comparators offered by INNOVACHECK are made with miniaturized indicators and with very low consumption, so much so that they can be easily powered by a common button cell battery. The comparator displays are normally made with a resolution of 0,01 mm (hundredths), 0,001 mm (thousandths). Some special models of comparators can also reach sub-micron resolutions.

triangulation laser sensors

Triangulation LASER sensors

Triangulation laser sensors are non-contact measuring instruments widely used in various industries. These sensors adopt triangulation technology for measure the distance between the sensor and the object surface, thus allowing to obtain with high precision the measurements of displacements required by the production processes.

La triangulation technology it is based on the emission of a laser beam which is projected onto the object surface and reflected towards the sensor.

Laser triangulation sensors offer many advantages over traditional measuring instruments. First, they allow you to make non-contact measurements, which means that there is no risk of damaging the object surface that is being measured. Also you can measure moving or easily deformed objects. Furthermore, the triangulation laser sensors are particularly precise and they can detect even small displacements with an accuracy of a few microns.

Deepening

In the industrial field, the dimensional measurements are a fundamental aspect for the quality of the products.

One of the most used tools are the laser distance meters, instruments capable of measuring the distance between two points by emitting a laser beam.

These tools allow you to work accurately in checking the dimensions of components and finished products, helping to ensure compliance with the required technical specifications.

One advantage of laser distance meters is that they perform non-contact measurementsthus avoiding the risk of damaging the surface of what is being measured.

This is particularly important especially when dealing with high-end products or delicate components, where any slightest damage could compromise the quality and therefore the value of the product.

Laser measurement is not the only tool available for quality control:

Other tools in contact, such as the mechanical probes or micrometers, are still widely used, especially for precision inspection of surfaces and complex shaped components.

In any case, the use of precise and reliable measuring instruments is essential to ensure the reliability of the finished products and customer satisfaction.

Industry 4.0

Quality control is an ever-evolving industry which is benefiting from the introduction of industry 4.0 technologies.

The use of automation systems and advanced sensors makes it possible to acquire real-time data on the efficiency of the machines and on the production processes, with a significant improvement in the effectiveness of the tests and a reduction in costs.

Industry 4.0 technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and data analysis, are making it possible to implement ever more sophisticated and complex test and verification systems.

In summary, dimensional measurement is a crucial aspect for the quality of industrial products.

Thanks to the use of high-precision tools, such as laser distance meters, and industry 4.0 technologies, quality control has become increasingly advanced and sophisticated.

Data analysis and process automation are making it possible to improve test efficiency and reduce costs, making the industry increasingly competitive and cutting-edge.
